PRESS BRIEFING AND THE PROFILING OF RETURNEES

127 voluntary returnees arrived safely yesterday 2nd April 2019 from Libya and WOCON (represented by Ms. Morenike Omaiboje(Director of Programmes) was invited under the umbrella of Network of CSOs Against Child Trafficking, Child Abuse and Labour "(NACTAL), to attend the press briefing and the profiling of the returnees. The EU-IOM project is a joint initiative for migrant protection and reintegration with the aim of supporting and providing assistance to Nigerian returnees and is being anchored by National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMDI) which is the lead Migration Agency in Nigeria and with National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in persons (NAPTIP)support. Apart from the 127 persons including 20 children Who arrived last night, over 12,600 voluntary returnees have been brought back thus far by this joint initiative.
